Now, all of that said, I have very high hopes for WAU 2 and for their Batman games in the future, provided they take their time and craft something truly worthwhile instead of pooping out rushed, shallow stories with the same mechanics every few months, year after year.Telltale Games is alive (in some form) again following a buyout by a Malibu, California-based company called LCG Entertainment.

(Example: Batman S1 was decent as a Telltale game, but *astonishingly* bad as a Batman story for literally anyone that has ever read a single Batman graphic novel or watched any of the good Batman movies and TV shows over the years.) I think a lot of people remember WAU, The first couple Walking Dead seasons, etc, and became fans at that point (which is totally understandable), then continued to just ascribe excellence to everything Telltale made regardless of the actual quality of the product. The more time went on, the more obviously rushed their games became, the more bugs were present on launch, and the shallower the stories got. Wolf Among Us is certainly a masterpiece of interactive storytelling, but not everything Telltale made was gold. Here's hoping they are still "Telltale at their core" - Fingers crossed!! Though after watching the trailer for the WAU2 I have A TON of faith they are going to At least nail that game! For example their style of art, I LOVED IT, it was one of the reasons I could play their games over and over, it always caught my eye :-) I just hope their is enough of the old crew at the new Telltale to keep some things the same. I TOO am happy to play the WAU2 I will pre-order it the day it becomes available. But damn "going under"? I couldn't believe it. Well besides a few Peabrained individuals that just couldn't handle that type of game, because again they are unique, so I suppose they aren't for everybody. I was saddened by their shutting down, I was also confused, because I never heard anyone say anything bad about their games. But Even though I think they are similar in some ways - Telltale is in a world of its own when it comes to its OWN games. I always place them in a similar category as Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 souls, and Detroit Become human, Until Dawn, and The Life is Strange series. Right up there with the best of those style games. Every single game they made was a work of art in its own right. I LOVED IT, But WAU was not their only Masterpiece.

I will never forget when I first got Wolf Among Us - I believe it was actually on Android OS at the time - I have it in PS4 Format now though :-)I think it was the only game I played through on an Android phone from start to finish. Yeah so your comment may be 8 months old - But I had to say something, I agree. I'm excited what New Telltale will bring. We don't know if they'll release the game episodically or release all 5 episodes at once. Instead of making an episode and then releasing it, they're gonna make all 5 episodes. The Telltale Tool Engine is gone, now they're using the Unreal Engine and their games will have new gameplay. New Telltale doesn't want to make the same mistakes the old Telltale did which led them shutting down. They're also interested in making a new IP game. Hopefully a 3rd batman will come too at some point. The Wolf Among Us 2 was annoucent and had a teaser trailer and will hopefully release next year.
